Simon Taylor

Simon has worked in the financial services industry since 2000. He began his career as a financial adviser and home service representative with the Co-operative Insurance Society.

He then became an independent financial adviser in January 2004, first working as a sole trader before joining John and Richard at Whittington Goddard Associates Ltd in June 2006.

Simon has recently completed his studies and has now attained the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

He has been married to Dawn for over 20 years and has two children, Jack and Alice.

Outside of his busy working life, Simon enjoys spending time with his family and if he’s not taking the kids to their various activities such as music, climbing, football and golf, he’s away camping in the great outdoors (usually during the summer months) or relaxing with good company and a glass of wine.

Simon is currently vice-chair at Eckington Boys & Belles Football Club. He is involved in the club’s development plan that will ensure a long-term future for the club and for the many kids who enjoy playing football there. With this involvement he aims to give something back to the local youth community and gains a great deal of satisfaction in what he and the rest of the club members achieve.

Simon has always developed a strong professional relationship with his clients. He believes that the ongoing service he gives to clients and the value that he adds to their lives is the main reason why so many of his clients now see him as a friend as well as their financial adviser.
